Saving Lives Initiatives (SLI) is a volunteer based non-profit organization based in Maryland.

Their aim is to facilitate knowledge sharing between health systems. SLI makes semi-annual trips to Sierra Leone with a team comprised of medical professional volunteers from the US and other countries.

SLI medical missions offer critical care training to ensure knowledge transfer to their partners in Sierra Leone so that they may be empowered to continue to provide quality care to patients locally. Throughout the years Vigilant Anesthesia has been honored to partner with SLI providing CRNA volunteers and much needed medical supplies for medical missions to Sierra Leone.
